Lara x Switch

The mating

On October 3, 2011, perfectly according to her schedule, we were informed our Lara (Nice of you to Come Lady in Red) has started her season. We have always had the dream of having a litter by the mother to Lara: Jolie (Nice of you to Come Jolly Jolie) and our Switch (Nice of you to Come Secret Switch), but despite trying many seasons, she has never found him attractive in any way at all. We have been very nervous to see what her daughter would think about him, but already at October 9, 2011 Lara flagged her tail for Switch which resulted in a perfect mating. This mating has been repeated the next few days, so now the time of waiting till the ultrasound has started.

This will be a very special litter to us, because we are expecting from this combination our 4th generation of ee red puppies based on the line of the mother (Blaze-Jolie-Lara-puppies) of which the final 3 generations all will carry our Nice of you to Come Bye kennelname.

Counting from the first mating, the expected day of birth of these wonderfull, gorgeous and sportive combination will be around December 11, 2011.

Ultrasound

On Wednesday November 9 (day 31 after the first mating) we went to the vet for an ultrasound. Although we had not many doubts, we are still very happy that without any problems we have seen several filled amnion sacks. We now know for sure, within about 4,5 weeks, there will be another bunch of little blondes in this world!
