On March 7, 2012, almost 12 months after her previous season our Ruby (Visions of you to Come Bye) has finally started her season. In two weeks she will be three years old, a wonderful age for a first litter. Her future husband will be our own young manTomTom (Nice of you to Come Bye Only th'Lonely) for whom it will be his first litter. Although we were quite nervous to see if both virgins would understand what mother nature expected of them it became soon clear that we were nervous for no reason at all. It was of course an advantage that both lovers know eachother well because they have been meeting weekly for over a year for agility practise and were very kind and friendly to eachother. After arriving at TomToms home they soon started a wonderful game of seduction and without interference this ended in a mating with a relaxed tie. We hope to repeat the mating a couple of times during the next few days and then the waiting starts...
Counting from the first mating, the expected deliver date of the puppies out of this unique and special, active and sportive, agility combination will be around May 18, 2012.
On Friday April 13, 2012 (day 28 after the first mating) we went to the vet for an ultrasound. Although the fosterhome already had no doubt at all, we very happy and relieved when we saw many little puppies inside the belly of Ruby!
