Coming from a background of (English style) obedience and herding, the author describes all facets of the dog. Even though a breed standard is presented she emphasizes the importance of keeping the working Border Collie in mind when interpreting such a standard. The book includes black and white photos, lots of tips and information on the situation of the breed in many countries.
